4 Wellness Apps I Actually Use

Health and wellness have become so important over the last few years with everyone striving to work towards a balanced life, to do this we need to care for our mind, body and soul. In this digital age, there’s basically an app for anything you can think of but, not all apps are created equal and let’s be honest how many have you downloaded and never used? I’ll admit, I’ve downloaded a fair few lately and these are the ones that have stuck.

Flow isn’t just a period and ovulation tracker, it’s also a lifestyle and fitness tracker that can connect to your Fitbit, Google Fit and Health App accounts.

Flo lets you set reminders, log symptoms and view your history. Flo will even explain your symptoms, offer remedies, let you know what is normal and what is not and has interesting articles about women’s health.

WATER TIME PRO

This is such a cute little app and it’s super simple! Water Time Pro calculates how much water you need to drink throughout the day, all it needs is your age, weight and gender. You can also set your own daily goals. Water Time Pro will send you reminders throughout the day to make sure you don’t forget.

MEDITATION & RELAXATION

Everyone has been raving about Headspace but personally I can not stand the guys voice and did not find it relaxing at all so instead I tried this app and I’m so happy I did, It’s so peaceful and has beautiful blue watercolour backgrounds, inspirational quotes and calming background music behind the soothing voice of your guide.

Blue Light Filter Logo - White Petal Travels

BLUE LIGHT FILTER

iPhone users already have this setting built in but for fellow Android users you need to download this app. Exposure to blue light stops your body secreting melatonin which is the hormone that tells you to sleep. Blue Light Filter reduces the blue light by adjusting your screen to a more natural colour and relieves the stress on your eyes and really does make falling to sleep easier. I used to scroll through my phone at night for hours and complain I could never fall asleep but ever since downloading this app I find myself going to bed at a respectable time and wake feeling more rested.

I have mine set to come on at 8:30 pm, you can adjust the filter intensity to your liking. It may look weird at first but you’ll get used to it pretty quickly.

    Great post! I definitely download Blue light Filter, since I do the same. I always scroll through my phone at night but don’t fall sleep! great tips thank you!
